Homiez by Clientele

A fresh, new, and steezy sneaker and streetwear NFT with its own native coin and stylish twist.

The style and swag of street culture has finally collided into Web 3 with the release of The Homiez by Clientele. This NFT comes with some surprising functionality and substance and is the next logical progression for sneakerheads and style-conscious collectors worldwide. Founded by Frank Richardson, this project was fully free at mint (OG owners just had to pay gas) and his mission has been to onboard people in the physical collecting game onto web3 and into the NFT space. He’s actually the owner of a brick-and-mortar streetwear/sneaker store and knows a thing or two about style and collecting. He also knows that the game can sometimes include bad-actors and people with less than pure intentions. His free mint initially was just the start of the positive culture change he strives to create.

Homiez have always been on the BLOCK.

So what makes this project unique, besides the rad street-culture art and the fact that it was born out of a real-life swag salesman’s mind? There are a couple highlights that give The Homiez an edge over the competition. One thing that makes them special, as aforementioned, is the fact that upon drop, they were initially free. Not many projects start out that way.

Another interesting aspect is that the NFT has three stages: the Base, which is an outline of the Homie, the Skin, where the Homie gets flesh and some undergarments, and finally THE HEAT, where the NFT is completely outfitted in swag from the sneakers to the headwear. What this means is that you’re not stuck with the one outfit you started with: as new items are dropped, you’re free to swap out your gear and sell it on the secondary market, much like the real world. This functionality is on its way and is sure to delight sneakerheads all over web3. Think of it like your NFT avatar’s version of Stock X.

Another rad feature is the ability to stake your Homie, in order to earn the native “$BANDZ”. $BANDZ can then be used to participate in limited edition swag drops and to purchase other Homiez’ gear off of the secondary exchange. $BANDZ will also eventually be able to be traded for money and other rewards in the future as well.

Homiez Closet

Where do the Homiez keep the goods? The Homiez’ Closet: where dedicated Homiez can display all the gear they’ve snagged and been rewarded with from staking. What good is having dope shit if no one ever sees it? There’s also a ranking system in the works for our oldest Homiez to give them the recognition they deserve, as well as calling out the Homiez with great taste, vibes, and/or specific themes. This ranking system will then be used to reward members with raffle entries, rewards, and more for being active and loyal. New gear themed pack drops will also happen, with giveaways included in special packs: the Homiez that get certain packs will also be getting limited edition physical items! An NFT where you can get real stuff? Count us in.

The Homiez is your chance to contribute to streetwear culture and participate in bringing those good vibes online, impacting a broader community. It’s also your chance to get some dope swag to represent yourself in the online world, as well as a shot at getting some real-life items as well!

Tattoos on the blockchain

The insane artwork for Homiez by Clientele was curated by celebrity tattoo artist Kevin “Kendoo” Caviedes ( @ikendootattoos). Kendoo has over a decade of tattoo experience specializing in black and white realism genre , and was the perfect fit for this NFT project. Kendoo is known for tatting up your favorite rapper to your favorite NFL star, and also is Frank’s tattoo artist, that is how the two came together and sparked the idea for the art behind Homiez. One day during a grueling 10 hr session, Frank and Kendoo discussed developing an NFT project that encompasses everything that the two love; sneakers, streetwear and art . Next thing you know Homiez was born out of that same station at Artillery Studios in Elizabeth NJ.  And the rest is history!
